Guardians of the Galaxy Movie Review

From the moment Guardians of the Galaxy was introduced at the 2013 D23 Convention in Anaheim, California, it sparked interest in our household.

From left to right: Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Bradley Cooper
voices Rocket, Chris Pratt as Peter Quill aka Star Lord,
Vin Diesel voices Groot, and Dave Bautista as Drax
Without giving too much away No Spoilers Here:

Guardians of the Galaxy is reminiscent of the fresh air Star Wars brought to the sci-fi genre back in the 70's.

It's like you've bumped into some of Hans Solo's cronies in another universe. Each character is from a completely different walk of life, yet the universe found a way to band them together.  A team of lost misfits that somehow belong together and make their unlikely alliance work.

The makeup is spectacular.  Each species of alien in the Guardians Universe is distinct looking and impeccably done. This is Star Trek for our actual Next Generation!

Let's be honest, its kinda hard to not feel like friends with this crazy crew of bandits when you have the song Hooked On A Feeling stuck in your head.  The soundtrack to this film is phenomenal. There are two albums available. One has the film's musical score and the other is a collection of songs that can be found on Peter Quill's Awesome Mix Vol. 1

The film is full of the comedic timing and heroic action that Marvel films excel at.

Here's a taste of the fun in the trailer:

OH One Last Thing......
