Disney's Dream Big Princess Video Series is Inspirational

In honor of International Day of the Girl, Disney has launched a new global video series in partnership with the UN Foundation's Girl Up initiative. The series offers advice and inspiration on achieving success to kids around the globe.

The next generation needs to see what’s possible if you Dream BIG!

The #DreamBigPrincess video series, produced and directed by young women from Girl Up, shares the stories of 20 trailblazing women across technology, entertainment, medicine, law, sports, arts, science, fashion and politics!

The film subjects include trailblazers such as Emily Blunt, Robin Roberts, Kathleen Kennedy, Victoria Arlen, Jennifer Lee, and Apple’s Susan Prescott joining forces with renowned athletes, doctors, scientists and more. The young women involved in the project hail from 13 countries, including 5 from various local markets in the U.S.

The campaign aims to make a difference for girls who face challenges in achieving their dreams.

The series will be shared across Disney’s global media platforms as a part of a campaign to unlock up to $1 million donation to Girl Up, an initiative of the UN Foundation. Between October 10-November 20, 2018, for each like or share of a public video or photo on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter with #DreamBigPrincess, Disney will donate $1 to Girl Up!

Funds generated through this campaign will help support Girl Up's leadership development programs and help more Girl Up Clubs get started in the U.S. and around the world.

We are big fans and supporters of Girl Up here at Picturing Disney and loved their #Dream BigPrincess Photography Campaign last year.  We attended the stunning exhibition at the UN in November 2017.  You can read about it ---> Here.

  7. I love this so much absolutely. Especially being a girl/woman. But, I don't mean this in a NEGATIVE way - but as a Mom to a boy I wish that they had something like this for boys too. We need to encourage ALL of our children to DREAM BIG! Just like Walt!

    1. I am a boy Mom as well. We never want to see the young men left behind after all if we teach them from when they are young everyone will benefit. Girl Up is wonderful and I hope a positive initiative for our young men is inspired and picked up by an organization as well.
