Did you know Star Wars Day has historical origins?

HAPPY STAR WARS DAY...

Did you know that May the Fourth has historical origins?

May the fourth is loved by Star Wars geeks around the world!

This FANtastic holiday is best celebrated by watching the Entire Star Wars Saga (Yes…including Episode 1: Phantom Menace). Some fans host out of this galaxy Star Wars parties that consist of lightsaber duels and playing Star Wars board and video games while enjoying a banquet of Star Wars themed cuisines. To celebrate, we are dropping a FUNtastic giveaway, but first we wanted to share the history behind the day's origin.

In 2014 Big Bang Theory joined in on the fun.
And yes...that is how excited we get in telling others about May the 4th...

According to starwars.com we can thank Margaret Thatcher for this PUN... I mean FUN day! On the day Thatcher was elected Britain’s first woman prime minister in 1979, her party decided to post a newspaper ad in the London Evening News. The ad read "May the Fourth be with you, Maggie. Congratulations.” Fans everywhere began flooding social media with clever Star Wars memes and messages.
