Pizza Planet Arcade- Hollywood Studios

What's better than pizza?  Pizza with a side of video games!

This kool little spot tucked near the backlot of Hollywood Studios is based on the Pizza Planet restaurant from Toy Story.  It's loud, kids love it and it is a quick, efficient spot for lunch during a day of running around.  The choices are limited and the pizza is far from an authentic New York City slice but you leave feeling full, satisfied and recharged.

I like that there are limited choices on the menu which keeps the lines moving quickly.  We ordered and were off the line in five minutes with time to spare to play a few games.

My son loved the arcade games and the aliens from Toy Story that are "flying around" everywhere.  His only complaint was that there was no pepperoni pizza kids meal.  He wound up stealing his dad's pizza!  The children's pizza is much smaller so my husband got short changed.  Luckily we were on the meal plan and a chocolate chip cookie or cappuccino cupcake came with each meal.  I had the meatball sub which included a cute side caesar salad in a cup.

If you have a big group, this is an economical choice and one that will leave you feeling full.
Lunch entrees range from $8.50- $10.75.  If you do not have a big appetite you can share a meal and still leave feeling full.
    Menu:
Antipasto Salad- Salami, Pepperoni, Kalamata Olives, Mozzarella, Tomatoes, Chopped Romaine and Italian Vinaigrette - $8.49
Cheese Pizza- with Caesar Salad - $9.19
Meat Lovers Pizza- with Caesar Salad - $10.69
Meatball Sub with Caesar Salad- Meatball Sub with Caesar Salad - $9.69
Meatball Sub with Chips- Meatball Sub with Chips - $9.49
Pepperoni Pizza- with Caesar Salad - $9.69
Veggie Pizza- Mushrooms, Peppers, Onions and Tomatoes with Caesar Salad - $9.69
    For the kids:
Cheese Pizza- with Applesauce, Carrot Sticks, & Lowfat Milk or Dasani® Water - $5.99 MiniChicken Sub- with Applesauce, Carrot Sticks, & Lowfat Milk or Dasani® Water - $5.99
    Dessert:
    Cappuccino Cupcake-  $4.59
    Chocolate Chip Cookie- $2.59

Next time you are in Hollywood Studios check out Pizza Planet Arcade and amaze your friends with this piece of trivia:  A nod to Pizza Planet is seen in every Pixar film except?
Hint:  It was an "Incredible" film!

Our favorite non-Disney character, a Beagle, and a Giveaway!

Do you ever feel like you can find a little magic everywhere you go? I think if you try hard enough you can find a piece of Disney magic everywhere as well! Take this summer for example, my boyfriend and I had taken a trip up to the Normal Rockwell Museum. What was the first print we found when we walked in? One that Mr. Rockwell had dedicated to Mr. Disney himself!

Another animation icon, Charles M. Shulz's delightful characters have been part of my life forever.  I wasn't very surprised when I found out that after his precursor to the Peanuts strip (Lil Folks) came out, Shulz was invited to a probationary appointment at Walt Disney Studios! He turned it down, but I do like to think that it connects Mr. Good Grief & Mr. M. Mouse just a little!

When our friends over at LeSportSac partnered with Peanuts for a slew of new patterns to couple the adorable beagle's big screen release we just COULD NOT WAIT for a chance to check them out (and give them away to you!!!

As always, LeSportSac does not disappoint.  The creativity of pattern design, functional bag designs, and the high quality manufacture (not to mention the long life) of these bags is not to be paralleled!

The lines in these collections can be found here:

We are ready to share these cute bags with you... so stay tuned to Picturing Disney for a sweet giveaway (or two)!
