Disney's Earth Day 2018 Announcement

BIG news from the Disney Store!

THE DISNEY STORE WILL NO LONGER USE PLASTIC BAGS AT NORTH AMERICAN RETAIL STORES

In celebration of Earth Day the Disney Store announced that they will no longer be using plastic shopping bags in their 215 North American stores.

Disney is kicking off the change on Earth Day, Sunday April 22. Guests will receive an exclusive Disney reusable bag as a gift with a purchase while supplies last.  Moving forward beginning in May, guests will have the opportunity to purchase a Disney medium or large reusable bag for .99.

What do you think about this change? Drop us a note to let us know!

  1. This is great news. Anything that can be done to reduce the amount of plastic bags in the world is a good thing. I wonder if they will introduce a ban on plastic straws as well.

  2. I don't mind this at all. I know a lot of people don't want to spend the .99 and I, too, am guilty of buying bags and then forgetting them the next time. But, rarely, at department or specialty stores do I purchase more than a couple of items and can either carry them out myself ( or use another shopping bag), or just pay the extra to help the earth. I hate the piles of plastic bags that accumulate while grocery shopping and have tried to be more vigilant with using reusable.
