The House of Gucci is pairing up with the House of Mouse to celebrate the Lunar New Year.
The annual New Year festival, which falls on Saturday January 25th this year, will mark the Year of the Rat (MOUSE!!) In celebration, Disney X Gucci's "Year of the Mouse Collection" launches today in stores and online.

Gucci’s creative Director Alessandro Michele has designed a special collection of items that feature Walt Disney’s True Original, Mickey Mouse. The campaign starring actress Ni Ni, Earl Cave and DJ Zoe Blue Arquette playfully follows Mickey Mouse as he goes about his day in Disneyland. The campaign captures the Disney childlike sense of fun.

The whimsical, brightly-colored collection incorporates classic Gucci pieces and new designs. The capsule includes women’s and men’s clothing, shoes, jewelry, bags and sunglasses. The collection includes over 70 items in which Disney’s timeless star appears to team up with many of the classic Gucci motifs.

"Key" to the collection according to Gucci's press release is a new material the Mini GG Supreme canvas. The print is a beige and ebony fabric that features a vintage Mini GG pattern playfully adorned with Mickey Mouse.
You can shop--> DisneyXGucci or if you have my Gus Gus sized budget just browse longingly!
You can also check out the Gucci App for some fun Mickey Mouse themed entertainment.

Which collection do you prefer 2019's Year of the Pig featuring The Three Little Pigs or 2020's Mickey Mouse?  Drop us a note in the comments and let us know.

  1. Both collections are great, but I like the Mickey Mouse one best. The wallets are especially cute.

  4. I love this. However I wish instead of raising prices to reflect the high end of the collaboration they would lower them to more budget friendly brands. Instead of Gucci prices make them Mickey Mouse prices. Etc etc
